Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

The Parent Advisory Committee is organized to provide parent input into the operation of our school. It can also serve as a vehicle for obtaining parent reaction to present or proposed school programs. Appropriate topics for discussion may include, but are not limited to:

  • Curriculum
  • Transportation
  • Student Citizenship
  • Rules and Regulations
  • Communications
  • Staffing
  • Food Service
  • Attendance

Members
The PAC consists of up to 16 different families whose children attend NPPS. Members will be selected to represent a cross-section of parent support groups and geographic areas.

Membership is for a two-year period. Members are selected at the beginning of the school year. If you're interested in becoming a member, please notify the office at (952) 758-1600.

Authority and Function of the Committee

The role of the committee is to serve in an advisory capacity to the building principal. The committee will provide a parent perspective which should be of invaluable assistance to the principal.

The advisory committee may make recommendations for and assist with the following:

  1. Evaluate present and projected needs for programs in the primary school.
  2. Identify and recommend innovative programs from other schools which might be used in the primary school.
  3. Stimulate increased involvement by parents in support of student activities.
  4. Extend the public information system to continuously inform the community of programs.
  5. Help complete surveys and other special projects.
