Dollars for Scholars Phone-A-Thon held November 2nd, 5th and 8th
Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit organization consisting of local volunteers who are interested in providing local students with financial assistance to pursue higher education. One-hundred percent of your cash donation will be awarded to New Prague graduates as scholarships and are tax deductible. As the community and schools grow, more students are choosing to continue their education at a post-secondary level. The challenge for the local New Prague Dollars for Scholars to meet this demand requires new and innovative fund development programs. Other communities in the surrounding area have found that the Phone-A-Thon has been very successful for their local school's graduates, and has created many more scholarships to be awarded.

The future goal is to present scholarships to all who apply for one. Enhancing the educational opportunities for our local youth is what Dollars for Scholars is all about. These scholarships are not solely awarded by grade point average or financial status alone; students just simply need to apply and meet the scholarship criteria.
