Presently there are no reported cases of the swine flu in Minnesota. Please note there is no need to be alarmed, this is being communicated to you for informational purposes and to inform you of steps the school district is taking. The swine flu is a respiratory disease and symptoms are similar to the regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Swine flu is spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose. The most important way to prevent the spread of infection is to wash your hands and cover your coughs and sneezes.
