Student Recognition Ceremony
On Monday, April 13, the New Prague Area Schools Board Members held a Student Recognition Ceremony for the Winter Term of the School year. Over 150 students and staff members were invited to take part in the recognition ceremony. Students invited to the ceremony had met the criteria in areas of extra-curricular or athletic prowess and were nominated by the Principals of the buildings or the Activities Director. High School participants included students on the Stock Market Team that placed first in state, National Youth Conference attendees, Dorian participants, One Ace Play Cast Members who placed at Missota Conference, Mr. Hockey Finalist, state athletic participants in gymnastics, and boys and girls basketball. Administration at the Middle School nominated Science Fair winners, Geography Bee, Spelling Bee and Speech Team along with students who placed at the Solo Ensemble for Band students. Elementary students recognized were in the areas of Science Fair, Spelling bee, and a state tournament Chess participant. Students were asked to come to the meeting (view the video here) with their ribbons or trophies for individual congratulations by the board members.
