Amy Eich Named Community Education DirectorOriginally Posted 05-09-2007
New Prague Area Schools are pleased to welcome Amy Eich to the position of Community Services Director, replacing long-time director Steve Bruchman who will retire at the end of June. Amy comes to us from the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan district, with several years there managing a wide range of Community Education programs. Before that, she managed corporate training departments for Twin Cities firms. She holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education. Amy has completed the Community Education Director Certification at the Univerity of Minnesota and holds a Community Education Director's License. She served as a high school English teacher in Wisconsin before relocating to Minnesota in 1995. "New Prague is an amazing community, with many opportunities for its members. Community Education can play a vital role in connecting families with existing opportunities and providing new ways for community members to build the future together," Amy says. "I look forward to working with the business community, young families, senior adults, the faith community, and others to continue New Prague's positive traditions and to be one of the many who are helping it grow to its greatest potential." Amy lives in Farmington with her husband Terry, and their three children. Gardening and family time are her passions away from work.
