Target donates $1525 to school
Through the Take Charge of Education program, the Target Corporation recently donated a check in the amount of $1,525.55 to High School Principal Tom Doig. Through the program, Target donates an amount equal to 1% off REDcard purchases made at Target and Target.com, and ½% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere, to the eligible K-12 school of the cardholders choosing. The check, which was presented by Tracy Fahrenkamp, Fraud Prevention Team Lead for Target, reflects money earned through the program from September 2005 through March. Cardholders can log onto www.target.com/tcoe to establish which school they would like to benefit. To date, the High School has been awarded nearly $14,000 since 1997.
