The terms for Tim Heinen, Rod Tietz and Diane Weyrick will expire at the end of 2005 year. Each seat represents a 4-year term. All interested applicants must meet the following criteria in order to run for one of the three seats: must be a resident of District #721 for at least 30 days prior to the general election; must be 21 years old as of January 1, 2006; must be a U.S. citizen and must fill out an affidavit of filing. Affidavits may be picked up at the District Office until July 19. There is a $2 fee to file for a school board seat. If seven or more candidates file their candidacy, a primary election will be held in September. No more than six candidates will be on ballot for the general election. For more information about the filing process, contact the District Office (952-758-1703) or following the School Board link on this site and contact one of the seven current members of the School Board. |
