Superintendent Poplau withdraws name for South Washington job
After a long and arduous hiring process, New Prague Area Schools Superintendent Dr. Frankie Poplau has withdrawn her name as a candidate for the Superintendent position of South Washington County. Dr. Poplau made her intentions known to both the New Prague School Board and South Washington School Board Thursday evening. She cited South Washington School Board's lack of respect for and communication with New Prague School Board members, as well as staff and community members, as a reason she withdrew her candidacy. Dr. Poplau, who has been with New Prague Area Schools for the past 11 years, is proud of the advancement this district has made and is excited to remain as its Superintendent.
