Gymnasts to compete at State Saturday
Three members of the New Prague gymnastics team will be competing in the class "A" state meet this Saturday at the Roy Wilkens Auditorium in St. Paul. The competition begins at 11 a.m. and will last until 2 p.m. Junior Melanie Deutsche, sophomore Brittany Ellanson and eighth grader Jessica Hoffman all advanced to Saturday's final meet. Deutsch, who finished third in last year's floor exercise and 8th in the all-around competition, will be competing in the floor exercise, uneven bars, balance beam and all-around competition. Ellanson and Hoffman are making their first appearance in the state meet. Ellanson will compete in the vault, bars and all-around while Hoffman will compete on the beam.

Tickets for the event can only be purchased at the event. Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for students.
