$4200.00 pledged to New Prague Dollars for Scholars

The New Prague Dollars for Scholars held their first annual Phone-a-thon to raise funds for scholarships for graduating seniors from New Prague High School. The Phone-a-thon was held on Thursday, November 9, and Sunday, November 12. Students from the New Prague High School Student Council and the New Prague High School National Honor Society volunteered their time to make phone calls and solicit donations. At the completion of the Phone-a-thon, $4200.00 was pledged for this year's scholarships. Jane Dittberner, Tom Doig, and Lynn Swaggert, this year's co-chairs, felt that this year's Phone-a-thon was a success even though they did not reach the goal of $10.000.00. It is the hope of the committee that with some expansion, next year's Phone-a-thon will be bigger and better.

If anyone would still be interested in making a donation, please contact Tom Doig at 758-1201.
