High School gets $250Originally Posted 03-30-2005
New Prague senior wrestler Justin Turek helped the school bring in $250 recently for being chosen as one of KARE-11's "Athlete of the Week". The program, sponsored by US Bank, contributes $250 to each athlete's school. The athlete is given a certificate for his/her achievement, as well as a letter of recognition form US Bank. A banquet is also planned in May for all of the weekly winners. Pictured above are [L to R]: US Bank Branch Manager Roger Walia, Justin Turek and High School Principal Tom Doig. Doig said the money will be used for the Dollars for Scholars program.
