PRESS RELEASE

Upon the arrival of Officers at the school, information was obtained that a note was found in one of the bathrooms in the high school stating that there is a bomb in the building.

School Administrators made the decision to evacuate the students and staff from the building.
The students were orderly evacuated to the New Prague Community Center and the New Prague Gymnastics Center.

Officers, along with some school staff conducted a search of the building and did not discover any explosive device.

At approximately 9:15 am students and staff were allowed to return to the High School.

Information was developed that identified a suspect. An investigation led to the arrest of a 15 year old sophomore student of the High School. The juvenile male was taken to the Scott County Jail and booked for Terroristic Threats and Disorderly Conduct.

A Juvenile Petition is pending.

Officers from the Scott County Sheriff¡¦s Office and the State Patrol assisted with the search.
