Troupe 1417 donates Braille book
New Prague Girl Scout Troup 1417 recently put the time and effort into developing a Braille book for the Lifeskills classroom at New Prague Intermediate School. The book, entitled "Welcome to the Beach", will benefit vision impaired students at the school. An immediate benefactor of the book is third grade student Tommie Murphy, who is blind. His older sister, fourth grader Katie, is a member of the Troupe that helped create the book. The New Prague Lions Club donated the Braille machine to the Murphy family, which led to the book project for the Girl Scouts. Pictured are members of the Troupe displaying the completed book.
