The
Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is an organization
that provides parent input into the operation of
the building and the district. The committee meets
six times during the school year (usually Thursday
evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m.) and is an advisory
to the principal.
Membership
is made up of 24 interested parents/guardians. Eight
members are selected to represent a cross section
of parent support groups (i.e. high potential, special
education, ect) and geographical areas of the district.
The remaining parents are chosen at random. This
is a two-year commitment. Additional information
is available in the Intermediate office.
The
last meeting date for the 2003-04 school year was
Thursday, April 15.
Because
this is a very valuable committee to the principal,
it is really important that applicants commit themselves
to try to make all of the scheduled meetings. It is
the endeavor to make this valuable to the participants
as well.
