School Board approves 4-question ballot Posted 09-19-2005
The New Prague Area Schools School Board last night approved a four-question, school-related ballot for the November 8 General Election.
The first question voters will decide upon is for a $17,175,000 addition to the existing High School building. Question #2 is for a $5,000,000 pool facility attached to the High School addition. Question #2 can only pass if question #1 passes.
The final two questions are independent of the first two and can be passed regardless of what happens with the first two.
Question #3 is for $1,500,000 to acquire land for future schools and infrastructure and the final question is for $1,000,000 for maintenance improvements and more energy efficient equipment.
Voters last December approved the construction of new elementary schools in New Prague and New Market.
