Information on the Election Candidates and Absentee Ballot information available
Candidates vie for School Board Seats.

November 3, 2009 will be Election Day for three positions on the New Prague Area Schools Board of Education. Polling locations have been changed for this election only. New Prague School District residents in the City of Lonsdale will vote at Lonsdale City Hall. All NPAS school district residents of LeSueur County, Belle Plaine and Helena Townships along with the City of New Prague will vote at the CEC Building - Horseshoe entrance. Cedar Lake and New Market Townships, the City of New Market and all Rice County residents not in the City of Lonsdale will vote at Eagle View Elementary School Gymnasium in Elko/New Market.

Four candidates have filed for the three board positions. The incumbents positions expire on the first Monday of January, 2010. Candidates filing for the election are:

Absentee voting will begin on October 2nd. Absentee ballots are available by completed the application for absentee voting and returning the completed application to Scott County Elections (see address on the form). New Prague Schools District office will have applications only for absentee voting. You may also download the absentee ballot application here. No Ballots will be available at the district office.
